The only other Bluetooth speaker system I've owned would be the Deck by Sol Republic. The deck had okay performance once you could get your devices paired with it (long story, but the short version was that it didn't want to pair with any of my devices.)This Anker speaker system paired immediately with everything that I used. Overall, the sound quality is at least what one should expect. Unless you drive it at top volume, everything comes through crystal clear. There is a bit of distortion at high volumes, but for the size and the price, it's well within my expectations. I will also note that while it is advertised to get "better bass," you shouldn't expect it to thump.I'm very pleased with the device (and it's a wonderful addition to our kitchen/dining room!)
Okay. Kinja Deals has been hyping this thing up every time it's gone on sale for the last several months. Claiming it's the favorite of their readers and even better than its predecessor. So when it finally came time for me to replace my broken speakers AND this was on sale? I had to get one of these and see what the fuss was about. And lemme tell you. Worth the hype.Sound quality is fantastic for how small it is. I'm the worst at checking product dimensions or looking at the size comparison images offers. So this little speaker is smaller than I expected, but that is in no way a problem. Better sound quality and range than the big old brick it's replacing? I'll take it. It also doesn't have the problem all other Bluetooth devices seem to have with my phone where the video and sound can't keep up with each other. Not sure if that's the speaker or my phone, but either way I'm super pleased to be able to watch YouTube videos with the speaker connected and not have that audio/visual mismatch.I've only had it for a single day so far. So I haven't done much testing of the battery life or water resistance. But from what I've seen and heard from this speaker so far, I'm absolutely loving it.UPDATE! Having had time to test the battery life, I can say without doubt that it is excellent. The claim is that this speaker goes 24 hours without charging. I use it daily for an entire week without having to plug it in. If you're waffling about buying this speaker, buy it. You won't regret it.
We use this as our sound bar for our backyard projector & movie nights & it has been great. Very loud, clear & compact. The battery life is about 24 hours. Great product.
I bought this speaker in lieu of purchasing a new set of computer speakers for a system that gets moved around a lot. Since it can charge and takes a normal cable as an input on top of Bluetooth connectivity I figured I would use it far more often since I could easily disconnect and take with me. So far it's had phenomenal quality regardless of where I set it up as well as excellent battery life and lives up to the water resistant rating.I have yet to have any disappointment whatsoever with Anker products and would highly recommend the brand. My only fault with this product is, also like all Anker products, that he packaging material is such a higher quality than I'm used to that I feel bad for discarding the box.
When I ordered this speaker, I thought it would be much bigger than it actually is. Turns out it is only about 6" wide by 1-1/2" square. When I got a small package I thought, "Uh-oh! What did I order?!" I envisioned little, tinny sound. Well, have I been pleasantly surprised! This little guy puts out a big, full bodied sound. Not thumping bass, mind you, but still clear sound, with a rich sound and very good frequency range. Plus the speaker is solidly built. As far as battery power, I've had the speaker 3 days and haven't recharged it since the initial charge when I first got it. Still going strong! And I use it all day at work (low volume). The buttons on top are big, so you can turn up or down the volume, pause the music, skip to the next song with out squinting to see the button or fumbling around to find the right button. I slip it in my laptop case to bring to work. I love the sound all day long. Particularly good for the classical music I enjoy. The more I use this product, the more I like it! Even at full volume, this thing makes a surprisingly BIG sound!I have another Bluetooth speaker that I spent $149 for in 2015 (Creative Sound Blaster Roar 20A) and this one is every bit as good, if not better.I recommend this! It is my first Anker product. I'll be keeping my eye on them for the future.
