First things I must note: I'm 6' 2" with a 37" inseam, 29 1/2in waist, 42" hips and I ordered a dark gray medium. Not going to lie, I opened up the package and thought I might give these to my sister who's 5' 9" since I ordered the black ones as a gift for her, but I decided to try them on thinking, maybe they'll stretch or they'll just be nice cropped yoga pants. Lo and behold they did indeed stretch out! (Thank goodness.) Still a tad short but they turned out much longer than they initially appeared (holding them up they come to about my mid shin). They're also pretty high in the waist for pants not specifically designed for tall women. I did still have to hike them up a bit and, once I did, they stayed in place pretty well if I was just walking around but they definitely wiggled their way down as I did some light test stretching up and down (see progression of pictures). That might just be how yoga pants are but as someone who doesn't typically wear crop tops but is exploring the idea, this is something I pay attention to. Fabric-wise, they are super soft and feel like they're snug enough to give you that smooth, flattering, firm, shark skin feel. There is a seam at the very top around the waist that makes them feel like they're digging in a bit more there (see last picture) but it doesn't make them uncomfortable, just maybe slightly unflattering if they slide down and you don't have a completely fatless stomach like me. I also decided to try on the black ones (just in case, you know) and they fit very similarly but I'd say a touch longer in the legs and a touch looser in the top waist seam. The black fabric is also very soft but also slightly less velvety soft, but not by much. I am a very tactile person and I tend to buy/keep clothes purely on their softness so I notice these things. Overall, I am very pleased with these yoga pants and plan to purchase at the very least a pair in black for myself, if not other colors.
